History and Background
Sunrise Performance Horses was founded in 2001 by myself, Torie Turner. I started training horses when I was nine years
old and took on my first outside horse two years later. I showed 4-H for 5 years and barrel raced in jackpots around Idaho
and California. Then in 2004 I traveled to Montana to train colts during the summer for the next 3 years. I also gave riding
lessons and day rides in the mountains on the ranch. In 2006 I showed cutting horses in the Grass Roots Cutters
Association. Since then I have been busy training outside horses and a few of my own while putting myself though college. I
currently have plans to return to the show pen in 2010 on some of my home bred colts.
